"Vidhi, Vidhii, Veeeedheeeee," after a pause "Vidhi, Vidhiiii, Vidhe", the sound was loud and clear, but no one responded so Devika again strengthen her voice and with a louder voice she called, "Vidheeee..." "Hey, don't shout, she will come in a minute. Wait.", Vidhi's mother replied with a loud and strict voice. She further added, " She is sewing your dress and it's about to finish. ". "Wow, aunty ...let me see." "No, You will get late. Come after school"
Vidhi a school going girl in her 8th, having a height of 5 inches 7 feet, slim, brown eyes, and blonde long hair. Having an oval face shape. She was pretty long and beautiful having an olive face tone with lotus-like eye shape.
" Vidhi, get your work done dear, Devi is waiting for you."Her mother said.
"Aai, almost done. Getting ready."
" You are already ready, just go. Don't waste your time watching yourself in the mirror. Leave before your uncle arrives." Her mother replied forcing her out of the house with her bag.
Vidhi, her two other siblings, and her mother were living in her uncle's home in a village. After Vidhi's father's death, Vidhi's mother, Madhu, and her brother were working on the farm of 10 yards.
Vidhi and her best friend Devika used to travel the journey of 10 kilometers from home to school by foot and attend the school regularly. Vidhi was an average student but Devika was brilliant. Vidhi wasn't even interested in studying but she has to support her family, so she was studying. In fact, she wanted to make dresses and earn. Because she didn't want her mother to struggle.
After two years the village was hit by flood and her family's condition became worse.
As Vidhi wasn't much interested in her studies, she decided to quit her studies and help her family. She started her tailor shop in and soon she got many ladies from the village as her customers. She even started sewing kurtas for gents.
In the same period, the family got so many marriage proposals for Vidhi, but after leaving a few, a fine proposal came in their door. The boy was also good looking and even working in the I.T. Department. They were against the dowry system. So without losing a second her uncle said yes.
All the rituals were completed in no time and Vidhi went her ''Sasural". She got engrossed in the family soon and following all the "param para" of the family. She was so engrossed in the family that she forgot about her tailor shop. In two years she became a mother of a baby girl. As the years were passing the baby girl was becoming a younger, beautiful, cute little doll.
One day a call came from the office of her school. As she reached school Vidhi saw so many other parents and there was an announcement of a fashion show of children, an inter-school competition. In the competition, all parents have to make a new dress for their children. Top three will get selected by the principal and those will represent the school in the final round. Kirti, Vidhi's daughter came running near to her mother and started asking " Will you make me a dress, please, please? I want to look beautiful. ", and Vidhi accepted her request lifting her in her arms.
She made a beautiful dress for her beautiful princess and due to that dress and presentation, her daughter got first prize in the competition. Every year Kirti was participating in that competition and winning the competition. But Kirti wasn't knowing that it won't last long. Once in that competition, she didn't get her first prize and she was so furious on her mother for the dress that she exclaimed, "You don't know anything!! You can't teach me neither you can make a beautiful dress for me. You ruined my dream. I hate you maa. I hate you. I don't want to talk to you." And she left her there. But Vidhi was very shattered and broken, this was the not first time that her daughter was angry but she was angry because of her mother's dress.
After sometime Kirti realized her mistake and went to her mother " Maa Maa, I am sorry, I know I shouldn't have said this. Whatever I said was wrong. But my intentions were not to hurt you. Maa. I am sorry. I was actually dreaming of being a model. But I know I can't do that."
"No dear, you are right, I haven't studied that I could teach you. I know I can't do that. But what can I do now is I will study. I will start my study again." She almost exclaimed. "Maa, but..." Vidhi added, "Beta, find the best institute for fashion designing course." Kirti asked, "and Dad?". "Don't worry he will love it...He loves the way I make a dress." And eventually, this happened fashion design was a difficult decision to accept for his husband but he supported Vidhi. Vidhi completed her degree in Fashion Design and simultaneously her daughter was doing her degree too. After that Kirti applied for Modeling and Vidhi Open her boutique. Soon it became famous. But Vidhi wasn't satisfied with that because she had seen all the changes happening in the industry. She had attended so many fashion shows and realized that the industry needs a different style. This was only limited to the upper class and for actors. But she made not only different dresses for the middle class but also made dresses which represent Indian Culture. She was knowing that she had started late but the chance she had got might not get to someone else. Year by year her work was growing and became famous in India and abroad too.
Once in her interview, she was questioned about the late start of her career in the fashion field and the reply was "It's never late to start afresh. Maybe it leads to you to your highest peak."
